5/1/10 - Well the croakers are now in the river and a few blues , water temp is looking good and so is the fishing , give us a call and we will catch you some fun !

 

5/15/10- We fished the Tappahanock croaker tourn this year , didnt finish to well , The fish we weighed was 1.77 and the winner was a wopping 3.77 , but we had a great time and caught lots of fish.

 

 

 

 

5/22/10 - Had a trip down to va beach and fished the cbbt and the backwaters of lynnhaven inlet , fishing was slow to start at the cbbt but the wind a waves picked up so we headed in the inlet and did some flounder fishing. We had maybe 8 flounder with one keeper, it was a sweet day that turned out with some fish to take home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6/30/10---- Well fishing has been steady, and the flounder have shown up well in the rapp. Good numbers of fish a several keepers are in the mix. Water temps are in the mid 80's and blues are around with a mix of spot and croakers.

 

 

 

 

7/17-7/24  ---- This past week we dragged the boat to Oregon Inlet to find us right in the middle of a SW wind . Needless to say the water was freezing (62) and the fishing was slim pickins. We managed one 40" red drum on 7/19 , maybe 20 or so blues on 7/20 , and some bottom fish the rest of the week. It was still a good time and a learning experience for next spring in the OBX .

Great fishing today ! We had a mixed bag of spot. croaker, mullet, blues, and perch. Thr trolling was a little slow and no macks , kinda bumed but the bottom fished proved to be alot better.Thanks crew for sticking it out and having a great trip. Hope to fish with you again soon !

 

Fishing was tough but fun , one spanish and several blues , the "red" tide is still troubling the fishing waters .

 

 

8-15-10 - Today we had a mixed crew from Prince George,Chesterfield , and New York . Good Times ,,, there was a small craft advisory out so we made it to the bay and didnt stay long aftger catching just one blue. Once in the river the fishing was good , we had plenty of spot , a few croaker , one trout , and several doubles on the perch and a single mullet. The spot fishing is really heating up dont miss out !

 

8-22-10   - Went out with some friends today to catch some spot for the upcoming striper season , rumor has it the fish are already in the river...... It was a small craft today so didnt stay to long but had a good time .

 

10-5-10- Havent fished much lately due to weather conditions , fished the outerbanks the end of september , did ok mostly bottom fishing was hitting , strong ne winds from a offshore hurricane kept thing stirred up ,,,, back home now and planning on fishing the Rapp this weekend .

 

11-13-10-Finally, i made it back out fishing today. Great day on the water the fishing was ok not great but ok . Managed 2 keepers one 19 and one 23 . Fishing is starting to heat up. Water temps are in the 55 degree range.

 

1-1-11- HAPPY NEW YEAR ! the season is over for us , bummer but true , now begins the fun part .... boat work and maintnance for next year , but we will be ready and so should you , its gonna be a good one !

 

 

1-15-11-Had a new trip today down to Chesapeake to the "hot ditch" , lots and lots of boats around fishing but didnt see to much action . We ended up with 4 speckled trout . No keepers but still had a fun day !

 

2-3-11- This year team Amanda Gale will be fishing out of Morningstar Marine in Gwynn's island . Starting in may , this will give us better oppertunity to fish the "cell" and wolftrap light , which means more time for the spades and the cobes , with easy access to the river as well, its all at our finger tips and will give my customers more time fishing !

5-30-11- Great day fishing , spot , croaker , 2 keeper rockfish , and one 20" flounder. spot and croaker are in the river now in full force, water temp is a balmy 82

 

6-4-11- Fished the best marine croaker tournament the adults didnt do so good , caught plenty of fish just nothing to put us in a top spot. However my 2 year old daughter finished 2nd in the junior league , cangrats girly.

 

6-11-11- NEW STUFF , I had a group today going for some stingrays with bows. We saw 13 they shot at 10 and unfortunately we bagged none. Exciting sport looking forward to doing it again. 

 

7-3-11- Fished the outerbanks today , traveled 18 miles out to find a empty ocean. Came back in near shore and bagged lots of triggers some sea bass which are out of season and two cod ,,, yes i said cod , weird for sure. 

 

 

 

 

 

7-24-11- Wacked the blues today, traveled about 20 miles but we found the birds and found the fish and followed them until the heat ran us off .

 

7-29-2011 - Fished the bay for spanish again with no luck, water was rough so we didnt hang out long. Went back into the river and lucked out on ten flounder one spot and oyster toad.

 

8-13-2011-Today we ventured out in the swamp fire smoke for a couple hours. Landed 6 flounder, 2 spot, 1 blow toad, 1 sea bass. 

Water is warm and spot fishing should be heating up. 

8-20-2011 - We spanked the fish today with Jonathan and Ashby Tanner , afternoon trip produced 42 spot , 4 flounder , 1 trout , 1 oyster toad , and one oyster. Smoke has cleared and the fishing was good , was hoping for a few more flounder but we tried our best, Thanks guys. See you next time

 

8-25-2011- Today we pulled the amanda gale out from Irene , she is safe at home , gonna get a good cleaning and be ready for action again! Stay safe !

 

9-3-2011- Fished the outerbanks this weekend. Most fish were small but landed a good amount of speckeled trout , one mullet .4 oz from citation , a few pompano and some blues. Spot were also in and out depending on the tide. The outerbanks seemed to have faired pretty well considering the way Richmond looked.

 

9-11-2011- Had a awsome group fishing today, we got ran off a couple hours early due to a storm but still put a whacking on the fish. We got 4 trout , 4 sea bass , one nice mullet , and 106 spot. Thats right 106 , Fish should be there a couple more weeks before cooler weather pushes them out and pushes the rockfish in starting the first of october. Thanks again guys!

 

11-19-2011 - Landed two nice rocks today , one 18 and one 25 , water is 54 ,
