8/16/16- Fishing has been great. The cobia bite off windmill area has been good if you are patient. We have fished all day and struck out and others we have caught two fish within an hour, just a waiting game. Spanish fishing has also been exceptional. Now we are just waiting on the spot to make there showing. Bottom fishing has been good and looking for it to get better as we go into the late summer season.
5/26/16- As of today we have seen the croaker show up in the river and have seen the stingrays off and on. Cobia should make an appearance any time now as reports of them being caught in the lower bay have been good. Water temps have varied between 66 and 70 and on the rise. The verdict on the cobia season has come in and they have decided to leave the season open until the end of August with a 1 fish per person limit, 2 fish per boat limit, no gaffing, and only one fish of the 2 boat limit may be over 50". Not the greatest but much better than being closed. Stay tuned fishing will be heating up more and more as the days go on.
4/25/15- I have heard reports that the croaker are showing up. I will have the boat in place and ready to go in two weeks at Deltaville Yacht Center in two weeks.
I will also be attending the rotary croaker tournament in may at june parker marina. I will probably be in another boat but I will be there.
Spots and croaker are in full swing. I hear the spanish and blues are also starting to bite well. We landed a 47" cobia last week. Flounder are being difficult so far this year but its picking up. Just have to work for them.
